Successful Cake Walk at Fest!

Thanks to all 7th grade students, parents, grandparents and supporters who baked cakes, worked, and helped with the Cake Walk at Fall Fest 2009.

The event was a success!

Thanks also to the MANY supporters who participated in the Cake Walk!

FALL FEST IS OCTOBER 27 @WSE

Be ready to bake a cake and work the

CAKE WALK booth!

Our goal is not only to make some money for the class account, but to have some fun as well!

Each 7th grader will be expected to bring at least 2 cakes to the CAKE WALK booth at Fall Fest.

Class of 2015 and Parents:

Welcome back to school and welcome to the Secondary Campus! The Class of 2015 met on Thursday, September 18 for their first class meeting. During this time, they elected Class Officers, Student Council Representatives and Class Favorites. Class sponsors explained the roles and responsibilities of Class Officers and the importance of future events such as Prom and Senior Trip. Even though those activities are several years into the future, the students agreed that a significant amount of money would be required to finance the events. And therefore, the majority of the students voted to set the 7^th grade class dues at $15. (Some of them wanted $20!)

Students should pay their $15 class dues to Mrs. Welch or Ms. Trawhon and they will be issued a receipt upon payment. Please keep up with your receipts and we will keep an accurate record of the students’ payments.

Fall promises to be busy! Please mark your calendars with the following dates:

Saturday, October 3---Pineland Day Parade

The 7^th grade may enter a float in the 2009 Pineland Day Parade. Volunteers are needed to decorate the float and assist with the Parade on Pineland Day.

Tuesday, October 27---Fall Fest at West Sabine Elementary

Volunteers are needed to work in the 7^th grade booth. More details will come later.

We will make every effort to post information on the Class of 2015 link on the district website. Log on to www.westsabineisd.net. On the right hand side of the home page, you will see a section labeled “Students.” Click on the Extracurriculars link and scroll down to find the Class of 2015 listed under the “Clubs” section. Also, be sure to check the calendar on the webpage as well as information is updated.
